Raychel O’Keeffe

Raychel O’Keeffe, is the founder of mindfulfoodmovement.com, after studying anthropology, becoming a chef and managing a team of staff in the kitchen, her sole focus is now to help others that need advice about what they eat, restoring a balance, and healing the body through food. She has spent a lifetime exploring the connection between what we eat and who we are through cross-cultural studies. Over her years of globe-trotting she has looked at food preparation, celebration, production and consumption and worked through many projects in how to combat food waste. She comes from a line of medics in her family which has spurred her desire to explore and prove how food can heal the body. Raychel has a special interest in seaweed and has carried out trips to shore to harvest seaweed and to cook with seaweed. Her vast knowledge and experience she offers comes from 20 years of working in the food industry and where she ran her own restaurant, a Mexican food truck, catering companies and produced a range of food products. Her food range called ‘Seagreen Cuisine’ is on offer to purchase online and contains many kinds of seaweed that can heal the body. She is a keen forager of wild foods, and the origins of hunting and gathering. Raychel provides online cookery workshops, and provides the customer with bountiful information some courses include the Paleo diet, incorporating seaweed and superfoods, food plans for mother and baby and one to one online consultations. In her free time, she cooks for others and loves to collect old recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. She also loves travelling to near and far destinations for inspiration and being at one in nature.
